Have you ever found yourself with a useless item that you don't know how to get rid of? Such items may include electronics, waste oil, tires, appliances, household hazardous wastes, and other such materials. Well, click on Recycling Resources to view a list of places to dispose of or recycle some of those "hard-to-get-rid-of" materials that are not accepted at local recycling drop-off sites.
2009 RECYCLING & LITTER PREVENTION GRANT APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE
Is your school, business, or local community interested in starting a recycling or litter prevention program? Maybe you already have a recycling program in place but are in need of additional supplies to help expand upon your current activities. Well the SWMD is here to help by providing three grant opportunities in support of such efforts. Applications for each of the 2009 grants will be accepted through 12:00 noon on November 24, 2008.
