Group Life & Accident Insurance

The County provides group term Life and Accident insurance for full-time county employees through Mutual of Omaha.

The policy provides coverage in the amount of:

  • $50,000 for employees through age 64
  • $32,500 for employees 65-69
  • $25,000 for employees 70+

The coverage is double indemnity, meaning that it provides two insurance policies in one.  The policy is a Life and Accident policy because it would pay your beneficiary the coverage amount in the event of a death due to natural causes, and it would pay your beneficiary a second time in the event that the death was accidental.
