Is Infant Adoption Available?

The availability of healthy, white infants, as well as pre-schoolers, is rare.  Families who apply for a white infant can expect about a five year wait, or even longer.  The only exception to this would be in the case of children with significant special needs.  Families who apply for an infant must complete a non-identifying profile which the birth parent reviews to select a family.  In most cases, the adoptive parents share pictures and letters to the birth family, which are forwarded by the agency.
